Antioxidant activity of tomato hybrids: correlation with the fertilizer used in crop

The paper presents the antioxidant activity evaluation of four tomato hybrids grown in Banat county (Romania). The raw filtered tomato samples were spectrophotometrically analyzed in the presence of a stable free radical (2,2-diphenyl-1-pycryl-hydrazyl, DPPH) in order to evaluate the antioxidant activity of tomatoes and the DPPH rates were calculated and analyzed for three reaction time intervals.
